How do you make people aware of all the great festive events that are taking place across a whole town? Well, that’s what we were asked when we were commissioned to develop a suite of adverts, posters and publications for the ‘Christmas in Southend’ event season.

STORM was commissioned to develop a brand – and subsequent advertising campaign – for ‘Battle of the Bands’, a live music event for young people across the region. We developed a strong, modern identity, appealing to fans of a variety of musical genres – from rock to nu rave. From this foundation, we also worked on a suite of advertisements, including those for local press, and large scale banners and signage. The final part of this project was to develop content for the Southend visitor website, in the ‘Southend Essential’ house style.

Southend Christmas Spectacular is an annual event, taking place at key locations along the town's high street. STORM was commissioned to create an identity for the event, as well as develop a useful and interesting seasonal magazine.
